A growing organization needed a reliable and repeatable way to deploy new workstations securely. We designed and tested an optimized onboarding workflow using Microsoft Intune and Defender for Endpoint. This initiative helped streamline the provisioning process, enforce security standards, and ensure consistent user experiences across devices.
Deliverables
We developed an end-to-end device deployment process integrated with Microsoft Intune, enabling automated enrollment, policy application, and Defender configuration. A new laptop deployment for a team member served as a test case, helping identify and correct local admin policy gaps and improve the user sign-in experience. Post-deployment refinements included documentation, clearer instructions for end users, and configuration updates to ensure future rollouts were faster and more reliable.
Results
The new onboarding process reduced setup time, ensured consistent security baselines, and improved the user experience for new employees.
